No Ads for YouTube Channels with less than 10K Views

Google has announced that the YouTube channels which have not crossed total 10K views are blocked from displaying any advertisement. The company has been working on it since November’16 and has taken this very seriously. The channels which display unacceptable content on YouTube are the targeted ones and are the key players which led Google get down to this decision.

Reason behind

  • At first, the reason was to stop the content theft for earning revenue on the website.
  • Many top US brands withdrew their advertising contracts with YouTube; their ads were getting displayed on controversial videos/channels.
  • It was an easy approval process for displaying ads next to the videos of any channel regardless of how old or savoury, its content was and how many total views its videos had.

Why 10K views bound?

The question is why Google has put this 10K restriction on YouTube channels and how it is eliminating above problems.

  • Through this, questionable or controversial videos will not reach a wide audience and so, ads will not be displayed with the corresponding channels, which publish such unacceptable content.be.
  • It is a proper measure taken by Google against unacceptable content and it will solve the problem because of which top brands pulled their names from YouTube.

We all know what YouTube is to the planet today and how important it is to properly handle this responsibility. The 10K views measure taken is in right direction and is a correct answer to those who use unsavory means to earn money.
